Installation instructions
1999 and up
Chevrolet and GMC full size pick-up’s
1500 and
2500 series
1. Locate Bracket mounting points as shown in Fig 1.
2. Clamp brackets in place with locking pliers. You may have to bend pinch weld down slightly due to unevenness
in rocker panel (see Fig 2)
3. Drill 1/8th inch pilot hole in center of each bracket hole and screw bracket to inner rocker panel. Be sure to use all four holes in bracket.
4. Drill pinch weld hole as far outboard as possible using self tapping threaded bolt and install nut from bottom. (Fig 3)
5. Install weatherstrip to top edge of running board about 1/4th inch in from outside edge of running board. This step is necessary only if installer prefers. Slide running board in until desired alignment is achieved. (Hint: Lubricate rubber weatherstrip with glass cleaner to aid install.)
6. Drill and screw running board to vehicle rocker panel then screw brackets to running board from bottom. (note: with additional brackets option this running board may not need to be screwed to the rocker panel.)
7. Install Step pad by lining up to running board and marking one edge with masking tape. Remove
backing and carefully apply trying not to hold fingers on edges of step pad.
